Proposals must include adequate amplification for those speaking to be clearly audible, without feedback, in all areas of the room, as well as assistive listening equipment in compliance with the ADA. During a meeting, speaking persons will generally include the seven seated council members or commissioners, as well as persons occasionally speaking from the floor, podium, or attorney's benches. The latter three move often, but the former are fixed in place. Any combination of wired or wireless microphones will be considered, but generally, wired is preferred where it is practical. Emphasis will be placed on participants' convenience and ease of operation. It is preferrable that the system is capable of feeding not only the speakers in the room, but also the livestream, as a line-out connection or similar. For the benefit of our staff and meeting participants, proposals may also choose to include one or more in-person training opportunities to get acquainted with the system. All equipment should be provided in new condition, with a minimum warranty period of one year. Delivery, installation, and service must be conducted by a representative of the seller. The use of refurbished equipment or subcontractors is prohibited.
