The Unit W Wastewater Interceptor is a gravity collection pipeline that originates near The Oaks Mall and transports a large volume of wastewater following an access road and traversing the Arroyo Conejo creek to the HCTP . The pipeline was installed in the 1960s and improvements have been made over the decades. In the lower portion of the interceptor, the original 1960s Unit W pipeline consists of a 30-inch diameter pressurized pipeline with two major wastewater access structures (Structure W-1 & Structure W/F) that enable the wastewater interceptors to be controlled and accessed by staff. The Work consists of furnishing all plant, tools, equipment, materials, labor, supplies, and manufactured articles for the Project, as shown by the plans (Drawing Number 21-20A, sheets 1-13), Specifications, and Contract Documents. It includes the furnishing of all transportation and services, including fuel, power, water, and essential communications, perform closed circuit television (CCTV) internal pipeline work, removal of existing isolation valves, installation of Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) replacement isolation valves, comply with regulatory permits, restore site, construct and remove bypass and appurtenances, and for the performance of all labor, work, or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Contract in strict accordance with the Contract Documents.
