The objective of this bid is to contract for professional technical services to provide the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratories with an accreditation which shall: a. assess the level of conformance to established standards of performance, b. evaluate the quality management system to enhance mission specific requirements, and c. retain the Laboratories’ nationally recognized accreditation standing. 2.2.1. The forensic science community has looked to the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratories as a leader in setting the standards for competency in the criminal justice system. This accreditation must enable the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratories to maintain its position as a standard setting agency by participating in the accreditation program and maintain its leadership role in the most well-recognized and credible forensic accreditation program available.
