. Contractor shall provide annual inspection of approximately 3,000 portable extinguishers which may include, testing, certification, maintenance, and/or replacement in accordance with these specifications described within this Scope of Services. B. Contractor shall ensure all portable fire extinguishers are of the proper rating and properly mounted and marked as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers 10 (or most current) edition and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910.157. C. Contractor shall furnish an annual inspection tag and tamper seal for each extinguisher showing the required servicing data, including date of the annual inspection. The cost of tag and seal shall be included in the inspection cost as listed on the Fee Schedule under Inspection and Tagging. D. At the time of the inspection, Contractor shall ensure all fire extinguishers meet minimum charge requirements, as indicated by the manufacturer. If upon inspection, Contractor determines an extinguisher needs to be recharged, Contractor shall secure verbal (with staff name documented) or written approval from the County. Upon approval, Contractor shall withdraw the extinguisher from service and provide a replacement extinguisher of equal size and bill the County based on the rates listed on the Fee schedule under Recharge Services. E. If an extinguisher is damaged, corroded or otherwise unusable at the time of inspection, and if Contractor and County agree in writing that it should be replaced, it shall be withdrawn from service. Contractor shall provide a new portable fire extinguisher of equal size and bill the County based on the rates listed on the Fee Schedule under New Extinguishers - Certified.
