Supportive Housing is a combination of affordable housing and supportive services designed to help vulnerable individuals use stable housing as a platform for recovery. The Supportive Housing program shall provide housing services to individuals who are experiencing challenges with homelessness, mental health, and co-occurring disorders with a mental health staff on site, up to eight (8) hours per week, Monday through Friday as appropriate and indicated. The staff on-site shall support residents towards independent living. The Supportive Housing service’s policy shall be to provide a warm, welcoming, therapeutic, and integrated approach to individuals with respect, dignity and privacy. It shall promote the safety of staff and residents and integrate trauma informed response principles as appropriate. Studio apartments shall be for clinically eligible homeless individuals who are able to live independently. There are twenty-seven (27) apartment units, nine (9) on each floor, with one (1) unit reserved for the resident manager. The PROVIDER shall be responsible to maintain the facility grounds and to provide proper security to maintain the safety of staff and individuals. The PROVIDER shall also be responsible to furnish and equip the site to provide effective services as described below. Supportive Housing Program requirements: Supportive Housing, including the Iwilei Resource Center site, shall provide a warm, welcoming, empathetic and integrated approach to work with individuals with co-occurring substance and mental health disorders.
