A. This Contract is for the construction, removal, and replacement of two elevators and the redesign of its enclosures at Reisterstown Station. The project involves the following: 1. Reisterstown Station’s street elevator (EL-01) (which connects the street level to the mezzanine level) 2. Reisterstown Station’s platform elevator (EL-02) (which connects the street, platform and mezzanine levels and the street level Machine Room) 3. The street level Machine Room and its enclosure B. The work involves select demolition of the EL-01 and EL-02 hydraulic elevators and salvaging equipment that has been deemed re-usable by MTA. EL-01’s concrete, glass, and metal hoistway enclosure building will be demolished and/or dismantled and the elevator shall be reconstructed with a new cab and hoistway enclosure at the street and mezzanine levels. The cab and hoistway shall be upgraded to meet current ADA requirements. EL-02’s hoistway enclosure and select equipment shall be demolished for a newly designed enclosure. Structure supporting the hoistway enclosure shall remain intact and re-used. The Machine Room on the street level shall receive new equipment. The elevator cab and new hoistway enclosure shall be ADA compliant. Sprinklers shall be installed in the elevator hoistway pits and machine rooms as required by current codes.
