The Douglas County Fairgrounds is requesting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide security, parking payments collection, gate ticket sales, and entrance ticket collection and verification during the 2025 Douglas County Fair, with an additional possibility (on written agreement of the parties) of extending the contract three times for the 2026, 2027, and 2028 Douglas County Fairs upon the following conditions: Rates for the services may be modified for any subsequent fair to cover increased expenses experienced by the Contractor for fuel, labor, equipment maintenance, insurance, taxes, bonds, administrative services, travel, and overhead. The Contractor shall provide the Fairgrounds with documentation of increased expenses that the Contractor contends necessitate increased payment. The parties may renegotiate contract terms other than rates if changes are necessitated by circumstances beyond the control of the parties. Renewal is subject to available funding and compliance with public contracting laws and Douglas County purchasing rules.
