1. Consultant will determine the optimal fiber route between end points including redundant and/or divergent paths as required. This work is completed utilizing a combination of ariel photography, on-site visits, and coordination between public and private partners. It is expected with each individual fiber project that at least one on-site visit occurs however multiple on-site visits can occur per the life of each project. 2. Work with Dane County in the preparation of bids, responding to vendor inquires, and evaluation of bids based on the fiber route and materials as determined by the consulting engineer and Dane County. The county will have a general check in meeting with the consultant monthly. The monthly meetings shall be charged out of a standard annual blanket purchase order. Individual projects will be quoted by the consultant as requested. The individual projects shall be quoted on a per hour basis. A purchase order will be issued for each new project request. 3. Work with Dane County and the successful fiber contractor to oversee projects to ensure builds are completed according to the agreed upon schedule and are tested and documented. 4. Consultant will design plans that will ultimately be put out to bid for contractor to complete. As such, as part of this RFP consultant is not responsible for obtaining permitting or paying any permitting fees.
