The Consultant shall provide Maintenance Engineering & Inspection (MEI) Services for District 5 - Jesup as needed in the support of the Department under limited supervision on an “On Call” basis. The Consultant shall serve as a technical and administrative extension of GDOT’s State Maintenance Office and District Maintenance Office to provide Management, Administration, Inspection and Design services, as required for GDOT maintenance services contract, capital maintenance and asset management programs. The maintenance projects are primarily the GDOT routine maintenance activities procured with service contracts and may include, but are not limited to, resurfacing, rehabilitation of asphalt and concrete pavement, striping, right of way reclamation, mowing, guardrail repair and replacement, litter pickup, crack sealing, fence repair and replacement, sound wall repair and replacement, sweeping, and vegetation removal. The selected firm will be expected to provide up to ten (10) qualified personnel for District 5 - Jesup to include one (1) qualified Project Manager for the awarded contract to ensure the work is performed in accordance with the contract’s scope of services. Qualified personnel shall include, but not limited to one (1) Project Engineer, one (1) Senior Engineer (Designer), one (1) Senior inspector, three (3) Inspectors, three (3) Inspector Aides, and one (1) Office Personnel for administration and overseeing the contract. The personnel assigned shall work under the direct supervision the Project Manager. The Project Manager will work in coordination and collaboration with GDOT maintenance personnel, to include the State Maintenance and Assistant Engineers, District Maintenance and Assistant Engineers, and Area Engineers
