Contractor is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of these services according to schedules provided by Augusta University. Contractor will provide dispatching, field supervision, and run cutting for operators. No stop or route deviations will be permitted without authorization from Augusta University’s Auxiliary Administration. Contractor is responsible to ensure that drivers are trained in proper route and driving techniques. This includes proper positioning of the vehicle to ensure passenger access and safety, and all ADA policies and service requirements. The contractor shall rotate vehicles in service to maximize useful life and optimize preventative maintenance. All scheduled services are to be delivered on time, missed trips are not acceptable. Contractor management shall have the ability to communicate with all drivers, administrators, and supervisors during operating hours. Contractor shall not place any vehicle in service that is not fully operational: Wheelchair lift and/or ramps and tie downs; Heating and air conditioning systems; Radios; Destination signs; Lights, brakes, horn, and tires; Any other safety or mechanical item required for safe and comfortable operation.
