The Contractor shall provide applications to all playing surfaces as well as all grassy areas outside the fencing for both parks. The products described below are the preferred chemicals due to the measurable success experienced by the Parks/Recreation staff over several years. The required applications are: 1. February/March – Liquid prodiamine pre emerge at one-one half (1.5) pounds per acre; water dispersible; post emerge (as needed) and one (1) pound of pot ash per 1,000 square feet 2. Early April – 46-0-0 Urea, water dispersible, high rate at one-one quarter (1.25) pounds per 1,000 square feet; post emerge (as needed); nitrogen stabilizer and Dimension pre emerge at twenty-four (24) ounces per acre 3. Early June – 46-0-0 Urea, water dispersible at 0.75 pounds per 1,000 square feet; post emerge for existing broad leaf weeds; nitrogen stabilizer; iron and micronutrients 4. Early August - 46-0-0 Urea, water dispersible, high rate, at 0.75 pounds per 1,000 square feet; post emerge (as needed); nitrogen stabilizer; iron and micronutrients 5. Late September/Early October – “Specticle” Treatment, product specific at eight (8) ounces per acre; one (1) pound of pot ash per 1,000 square feet and 0.5 pounds phosphorous per 1,000 square feet
