Service Overview: This structured outpatient withdrawal management service is designed for adults requiring short-term care, typically two to three days. The service must be delivered by addiction credentialed clinicians and staff who are culturally competent and operate under established policies and procedures. The facility must have access to permanent inpatient beds to support clients during their brief stay. Service Requirements: Treatment Enhancements: Applicants must outline proposed enhancements to the treatment program within the proposal and budget narrative. Duration: Two to three days of observation, medical monitoring, and treatment. Evaluation and Care: Professional, clinically directed evaluation and care throughout the withdrawal process. Co-Occurring Services: Provision of psychiatric evaluation and monitoring for clients with co-occurring mental health conditions, as needed. Recovery Support Linkage: Coordination with recovery support services such as sober living arrangements, Vivitrol, Naloxone education, and other relevant supports for co-occurring conditions. Continuum of Care: Ensure continuity of care with appropriate referrals prior to discharge, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), based on best clinical practices, client needs, and availability of funds.
