The County of San Diego has an immediate need to acquire and outfit one (1) 2024, or Newer, Ford F-550 XLT 4x4, Crew Cab (4 Door), DRW (663A) (WSH), with a steel service utility body. The application of the vehicle involves emergency response to incidents encompassing transportation of personnel and equipment to support the suppression of conditions or situations involving Hazardous Materials. 1.2. This vehicle is to be the most current production with all standard equipment whether or not specifically called for here except where the item is replaced by optional over standard equipment and approved by the County of San Diego, Department of General Services, Fleet Management Division. 1.3. Build-out and delivery is to be performed in 6 months from award of contract including waiting time from factory order of both vehicle and utility body as described in this specification. 1.4. Contractor is to provide an estimated projection of vehicle weight and payload capacity as finished by this specification at time of quote submission. 1.5. Exterior Color: White 1.6. All additions to the vehicle will be designed with a factor of safety, which is equal to or greater than that which is considered standard and acceptable for this class of equipment. All additions to the proposed vehicle will be strong enough to withstand general service under full load. The vehicle will be designed with accessibility for lubrication, inspection, adjustment and repair, facilitate access for modifications or replacement to all additions or vehicle chassis as required by wear from use or purposes of refurbishment. 2.2. All stepping, standing, and walking surfaces on the body will meet NFPA #1901 anti-slip standards. Aluminum tread plate utilized for stepping, standing, and walking surfaces will be Alcoa No-Slip type. This material will be certified to meet the NFPA #1901 standard. All vertical surfaces on the body, which incorporate aluminum tread plate material, will utilize the same material pattern to provide a consistent overall appearance. 2.3.
