The Town of Kirby is procuring the services of a qualified Design-Build company for this Solicitation. Kirby is seeking responses from Design-Build companies who are qualified and prepared to undertake the design and construction of one washed out road and three bridges (box culverts). Flash flooding on 30 July 2024 inflicted widespread road, bridge and culvert damage to critical roads in the Town of Kirby. The Town is seeking engineering design, permitting, right of way, utility, and construction services in four locations as part of this proposal. It is important to note that these projects must be proposed, developed, constructed, invoiced and separately accounted for to comply with FEMA Public Assistance regulations. Bridges are those listed in the Vermont State bridge and culvert inventory. 1. State Aid 1: (Ridge Road and Bennett Road). Bridge #4 - (The Ridge Road bridge and roadbed were washed away completely. The brook is a hydrological connection between Bennett Road, Ridge Road and Brook Road. 2. TH 29: (Town Hall Road) Bridge #6 (box culvert) over Hawkins Brook. Hawkins Brook is hydrological connection between Town Hall Road and Ridge Road - Red Village Road. 3. TH10, Bridge #15 (Box culvert over Sheldon Brook on North Kirby Road), 4. Town Highway #2: Brook Road. Large sections of road were completely washed away along with bank failures south of the Ridge Road intersection. Contingent on Bid cost and town funding availability
