The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is requesting bids for clearing and grubbing approximately 39 acres (see Figure 1) at 11730 Seminole Pratt Whitney Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33412. The area is currently populated by invasive species such as Brazilian Pepper trees, other exotic plants, and hogs. 2.1.1. Clearing refers to the removal of all vegetation. 2.1.2. Grubbing is the removal of roots that may remain in the soil. 2.2. Clearing and Grubbing together include the removal of all logs, brush, and debris, as well as the grinding and removal of stumps. 2.2.1. Local animals will not need to be removed or disposed of. They should instinctively leave the area during the clearing and grubbing process. 2.3. The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and materials to implement the following improvements: 2.3.1. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all existing vegetation on the site. 2.3.2. The contractor shall remove roots and other debris to a depth of 12 inches below the ground surface. 2.3.3. All debris shall be disposed of off-site in a legal manner. 2.4. The contractor may store equipment on-site at their own risk. 2.4.1. The Commission is not liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen property or equipment.
