The Massachusetts Department of Transportation ("MassDOT") Office of Diversity and Civil Rights ("ODCR") is seeking proposals from qualified Bidders who can provide Pre-Apprentice Training, with a concentration in transportation and / or highway construction to low-income, minority, youth, or young adult populations. Eligible Bidders must demonstrate their qualifications and experience in the delivery of a comprehensive training program aimed at providing individuals with opportunities and exposure to transportation /highway construction careers to enhance the likelihood of a well prepared and diverse transportation/and highway construction workforce for the future. The program must include but is not limited to outreach and recruitment; case management; contextualized literacy skills training; work readiness training; and career exploration in the transportation /highway construction career pathways. In addition, all program participants must receive instruction and skills that highway contractors and MassDOT find an integral part of business.
