Provide Facility Programming services for the design of the new two-story museum of approximately +/-20,000 sq. ft. in total area, including related accessory spaces and site amenities. · Provide Facility Programming services for the design of the new +/-17,000 sq. ft. library/media center, including related accessory spaces and site amenities. · The museum and media center/library will be a shell building with a central core providing restrooms, means of egress, and mechanical spaces for infrastructure serving the shell building’s future fit out to be designed and built by others. The ARCHITECT selected by the School District of Palm Beach County will collaborate with the Architect awarded by the tenant (Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties) of the museum and media center/library. Both design teams will collaborate to complete the design for the interior fit out of the spaces and functions. The ARCHITECT selected by SDPBC will be the Architect of Record (AOR). · Prepare demolition drawings for the existing buildings and connecting covered walkways as approved by the Department of Education and the City of West Palm Beach Historic Preservation Planner. See the attached the Castaldi Analysis. o Demolition of buildings two (2), three (3), four (4), six (6), and eleven (11) · Provide existing facilities analysis and measured drawings for the renovation of existing buildings numbers one (1) and five (5) to remain. · The preservation and renovation of buildings one (1) and five (5) to repurpose them as the anchor for the historical campus. Renovations may include but are not limited to the following: o New Roof o HVAC o Electrical o Water Service o Elevator o Cabling and Networking o Removing all interior walls and/or structural redesign of load bearing walls o Structural interior shell renovations o Windows o Structural exterior shell renovations · Design the parking lot and required drainage features across the street on 15th (L.A. Kirksey Street). · Complete the Phase II site design as required and verify that the site design will function properly with the approved site plan and work completed during the Phase I construction. · Incorporate CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) principles in the design. · The above items identified for the East side of the campus shall include the museum and library/media center facility programming and list, development of all conceptual design, site plan, schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, construction administration, community outreach and engagement as required. · Early procurement of the mechanical items with long lead times.
