The City of East Orange seeks Qualification Statements/Proposals from Respondents that have expertise in the provision of professional legal services of Bond Counsel. The services requested include but are not limited to the following: • Knowledge and understanding of municipal finance law as provided for in New Jersey statutes, administrative regulations and case law. • Provide legal services and representation of the City in matters relating to issuance of public debt instruments including bond and bond anticipation notes of the City • Draft, review and approve all bond documents including ordinances, resolutions, contracts and other instruments. • Bond Counsel will work jointly with City’s Finance Department and Law Department. • Meet with Administration as necessary, • Provide municipal bond and finance law advice to the City as needed or requested. • Provide or advise other types of legal services of a specialized nature as may be required. The term of the contract between the City of East Orange and the successful Respondent will be up to one (1) year.
