The DOH is currently seeking a qualified applicant to provide family strengthening, parent education, and parent support services to families, including those most impacted by Maui wild fires such as Pacific Islanders, Native Hawaiians, and other vulnerable community populations. This project shall be called “The Parent Line”. The Hawaiian Islands are separated by the Pacific Ocean and is divided into 4 major counties: Hawaii County-Island of Hawaii, Maui County includes the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai, Honolulu County includes the entire island of Oahu, and Kauai County includes the island of Kauai. More widespread statewide social media activities and public service announcements will be utilized to provide a greater awareness for information and identify where families are able to obtain needed resources. MCHB is seeking an applicant who is culturally competent to provide and coordinate a wide spectrum of parent enrichment services.
