Cherry 1000 is the main engineering auditorium in the Cherry Engineering Building which currently seats about 60 students in an open table format. The auditorium interior has already been partially demolished to allow Architects, Engineers and prospective Contractors the ability to see the space in a more accessible format. Classes are currently being conducted in another building for the remainder of the project. The room will be completely renovated along with a new glass wall façade, new exit door directly to the exterior and new open ceilings, lighting and mesh grids. A new projection and TV system will be installed along with updated audio/visual on 3 walls. HVAC ductwork upgrades in the room as well as new power to all seats rounds out the scope of work.
