The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit offers from Vendors for prequalification to obtain web-based digital communication, media monitoring and related solutions to enable state and local government agencies as well as public educational entities in North Carolina to: • Efficiently and effectively distribute timely news and information to the public (directly and via the news media) as well as employees and other stakeholders in forms that include but are not limited to emails, SMS/text messages, social media posts and RSS feeds • Measure the success of their communications efforts using analytics • Monitor news sources and social media posts to gauge public sentiment and help drive communication strategy Agencies will utilize these Services for reasons that include but are not limited to: • Issuing news releases, newsletters and other forms of messaging to reach constituents • Sending emergency messages via distribution lists to employees and other stakeholders • Creating and managing distribution lists and segments to strategically reach audiences • Communicating directly with the public via social media to provide timely responses to questions and requests for information
