The College’s Health Sciences, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Paramedic Program requests the purchase of the LIFEPAK®-35 Cardiac Monitor/Defibrillator along with the necessary accessories by STRYKER SALES LLC (“STRYKER”), that has been utilized widely in many major schools, hospitals, fire departments, clinics, and institutions in the United States of America. The system is specifically designed to provide real-time heart rhythms interpretation, vital sign assessments, and trending of breathing effectiveness and circulation, making it an invaluable tool for training and education. The LIFEPAK®-35 Cardiac Monitor/Defibrillator by STRYKER, offers a comprehensive, highperformance solution for medical emergencies. It includes advanced features such as 12-lead ECG (15- lead ECG capability also), Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity, and Bluetooth compatibility. These technologies ensure seamless communication and data transfer to healthcare facilities, improving efficiency in patient care coordination. The device also supports defibrillation, pacing, and CPR feedback, making it an essential tool for emergency responders and a key component of the EMT and paramedic training. This system enhances the learning experience for EMT and paramedic students by providing hands-on experience with equipment used in real-world emergency settings. Accessories such as ECG electrodes, SpO2 sensors, NIBP cuffs, CO2 sampling lines and a carrying case allow students to become proficient with the same devices they will encounter in the field. These accessories ensure comprehensive training by simulating critical scenarios, such as cardiac arrests, heart attacks, and respiratory distress, giving students valuable exposure to life-saving technologies. In addition to its diagnostic capabilities, the LIFEPAK®-35 also allows for defibrillation (resetting abnormal heart rhythms), synchronized cardioversion (lower-energy defibrillation for conscious patients) and functioning as a temporary pacemaker (to increase and stabilize heart rate). These features are essential for training EMT and paramedic students in managing medical emergencies such as heart attacks, pulmonary embolism, and return of spontaneous circulation, effectively preparing them for real-world situations.
