The selected contractor will need to mill all of the existing asphalt in the driveway and parking spaces and then remove a portion of the road base so that the new hot mix asphalt will be at least 1 1/4 inches thick; not to exceed the height of the existing curbing and stormwater structures. Additionally, a section of sidewalk behind the baseball field fence, across from the Dog Park, near the ADA ramp, needs to be repaired. The Driveway and Parking spaces will need to be re-striped back to the original design as per the specifications attached. The parking stops will need to be removed for the new asphalt and replaced. The City retains the right to keep all milled road base and asphalt from the project. Two bid methods are available in the Total Price Form: City hauling away and Contractor hauling to 1898 Air Park Dr., approximately three (3) miles from Whistle Stop Park. In both cases, the City will retain the road base and materials millings. Both options must be bid.
