Required Livescan Capabilities: REQ-01 All devices must go through a vetting process through the KBI, before being available to users. KBI maintains a list of approved vendors and devices. Vetting includes validating images have the correct resolution and submissions are formatted correctly. REQ-02 All devices must submit with 1000ppi. REQ-03 Must use state provided code tables. These are provided in the ICD8 Attachment REQ-04 All Kansas devices must submit fingerprints to the KBI ABIS, not out-of-state ABIS. REQ-05 All livescans connected to the KBI ABIS must have vendor provided maintenance contracts. REQ-06 Must be compliant with the current CJIS and KCJIS Security Policies. REQ-07 Must be compliant with KBI-defined TOTs and Type-2 record descriptors provided in the KBI NIST Map and any subsequent updates.
