A. Monitor and report on activities within the Legislative and the Executive branch offices which are of concern/interest to RTD during regularly scheduled calls and meetings throughout the year B. Communicate directly with Members of Congress and Congressional Staff regarding current and future RTD priorities and serve as RTD’s representative in Washington, DC C. Arrange appointments and meetings with members of Congress and their staff, as well as Executive Branch staff, for RTD directors and staff in pursuit of advancing RTD priorities D. Assist RTD in relationship development with the Congressional and Executive Branch officials, as well as with other industry officials and public transportation coalitions. E. Attend or monitor pertinent meetings of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Congress, and any other pertinent Executive Branch Offices. Additionally, monitor activities of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and other public transportation coalition/industry groups F. Notify RTD of grant notices and assist in the process of obtaining discretionary grant awards for RTD projects G. Notify RTD of regulatory rulemaking that could impact RTD and work to develop strategic actions in response to potential policy development H. Conduct activities necessary to carry out RTD’s priorities outlined in the Board Approval Legislative and Government Relations Program I. Attend and present on federal legislative matters to the RTD Board of Directors when warranted
