1. Assessment and Removal: • Conduct a detailed assessment of existing street light poles and fixtures to determine the extent of damage. • Remove all rusted and damaged street light poles, fixtures, pedestrian fixtures, banner arms, and clamshell bases from designated locations. 2. Installation of New Poles and Fixtures: • Supply and install new galvanized street light poles and fixtures that meet local and national standards for durability and corrosion resistance. • Install new pedestrian fixtures at specified locations to ensure adequate lighting for pedestrian pathways. • Supply and install new banner arms on the newly installed poles, ensuring proper alignment and support. • Install new clamshell bases to securely anchor the poles in place. 3. Maintenance of Traffic certification (MOT): • Contractor shall be responsible to ensure the appropriate personnel have the proper training and/or certification for the permitting, installation, removal, and operation of temporary traffic control devices and flagging. • Appropriate barricades and MOT signage shall be used while working. Areas shall be marked off and signs posted indicating areas closed to pedestrian traffic. Signs should indicated that people are working. No facility's operations shall be interrupted by the parties affected to hours without interference. All equipment, apparatus or rope coils on the ground shall also be marked off with cones and signs warning pedestrian and/or traffic, Contractor shall provide all safety signs and cones. • Approved Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) must be used as needed and approved by the government agency with jurisdiction, such as Broward County, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Department of Public Works. If the government entity is other than the City, Contractor shall provide the City with a copy of the approved MOT prior to beginning work. 4. Locations: • Work to be performed at specified locations along A1A. 5. Site Restoration: • Restore any disturbed areas to their original condition, including re-seeding or landscaping as necessary. • Ensure that all debris and old materials are properly disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
