Eleven (11) pumps will be provided, capable of continuous operation at full load with water level down to 12” above pump inlet flange face, without cavitation and motor overheating. Ten (10) pumps are for the initial install, and one (1) is to be spare. When lowered into place, the pump will simultaneously seal onto the inlet and discharge fittings. All external mating parts will be machined, and Buna N Rubber O-ring sealed on a beveled edge. All fasteners exposed to the pumped liquid will be either 304 or 316 stainless. Pumps will be single stage, centrifugal type, close-coupled to sealed electric motor, for submersed operation without external cooling. The impeller will be chopper type capable of handling solids, fibrous materials, heavy sludge, and other matter found in normal sewage applications. Impellers will be dynamically balanced. Bearings will be permanently lubricated and have (L10h = 50,000) at design capacity. Seals will be independent tandem mechanical shaft seals, oil lubricated and furnished with moisture detector probes, and test circuits.
