The purpose of this RFP is to outline the scope of services for the asset preservation of the facility and to solicit proposals from qualified design teams. The selected design team would provide design services consisting of Design Development and Contract Documents for Como’s Big Cats Habitat. Schematic Design has been completed by WDM Architects. This work includes architecture and landscape architecture; structural, mechanical/electrical/fire protection, civil engineering services, and will comply with the Minnesota Sustainable Building Guide-lines - Buildings, Benchmarks & Beyond (B3 MSBG) design. In addition to basic services described above, designing for animals and exhibits within a zoo campus requires unique and specialty design services that requires: • Animal habitats and exhibits, wire mesh enclosures • Animal holding, caging and transfer facilities. • Artificial rockwork design • Glazing engineering
