The Ohio History Connection fulfills several major responsibilities for the State of Ohio including the maintenance and operation of the state archives, the state museum, and the state historic site system; administration of the state historic preservation office; and providing educational outreach and services to the local history community. The Ohio History Connection is launching a comprehensive renovation project, Campus 2.OH, aimed at revitalizing its campus on East 17th Avenue in Columbus, including the Ohio History Center & Ohio Village. The Campus 2.OH initiative will involve numerous construction, renovation and event activities over the coming years, with the goal of enhancing and expanding the physical spaces for a better visitor experience. The project is both a celebration and a preservation effort, helping to tell Ohio's story for the next 50 years and beyond. Both the Center and the Village have recently been added to the National Register of Historic Places.
