Craven County intends to select a professional engineering firm to assist the County with the following aspects of the project. These tasks will include, but are not limited to: Asset condition and risk assessment for the water system pumping, storage, and distribution assets, including preparation of capital cost estimates for needed rehabilitation/repairs/replacement/upgrades, creation of a prioritized list of needs and projects, and development of a 10-year Capital Improvement Plan for the water system. Use hydraulic modeling data to examine the water system, identify needs, and provide the county with proposed improvement scenarios and cost estimates. The scope of this project and the Asset Management Plan developed through this project will be in accordance with NCDEQ’s “Water and Wastewater Utility Evaluation Guidance Document: Asset Inventory and Assessment, Capital Cost, and Operating Cost Analyses”.
