Johnston County Public School (JCPS) is seeking a 5-year contract for Science Curriculum and/or instructional tools with associated curriculum for grades K-5, 6-8, and the following high school courses: Earth and Environmental Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as described in this RFP to support science teaching and learning. Johnston County Public Schools will pay on an annual basis contingent on funding. The criteria for these materials include: ● must align to the 2023 North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Science ● coherent in design for grades K-8 ● scientifically accurate ● leverage science phenomena and/or engineering problems in the context of driving learning and student performance ● must require hands-on student interaction with scientific concepts and questions ● support teachers to fully implement the materials, understand the skills and learning of their students, and support a range of learners ● utilize and support an inquiry-based lesson structure ● identify the instructional model/approach and research-based strategies utilized
