PROJECT DESCRIPTION Scope Of Work • The selected firm will be required to review the past completed annual audit reports, including those on the County’s website, which are currently 2020, 2021, and 2022. • Throughout the course of the engagement, the firm will be required to communicate and work closely with other external County auditors engaged with other fiscal-related projects to assess and properly address areas of concern that may be identified during the engagement of work with the sole intent of producing financial statements and the single audit. • In addition to working with County leadership, the firm may need to work with the County’s external accountant (CPA) who can provide historical information. • Prior to the start of the engagement, the auditors will be required to submit a letter of engagement that the County’s BOCC will review, discuss, and approve. • The selected firm will perform any necessary field work including walk throughs to ensure understanding of County operations. • The auditors will perform an audit starting with the 2024 fiscal year, in compliance with the requirements set forth in the Introduction section of this RFP and will continue to perform consistent annual audits for each fiscal year through 2028, for a five-year period. • Upon the timely completion of each annual audit, the firm will produce annual financial statements starting with the fiscal year 2024 and will produce financials for each consecutive fiscal year following up through 2028, for a five-year period.
