Kaufert Laboratory is located at 2004 Folwell Avenue St. Paul, Minnesota 55108, and houses the Department of Bio-systems and Bio-Products Engineering. The University is seeking the services of a contractor to replace the pad mount outdoor electrical transformer. The new transformer will roughly be in the same location. The 15KV outdoor switch gear, including transformer, and cables in existing duct bank will be demolished. The existing duct bank will be abandoned in place, per applicable codes, and Building Standards and a new high voltage duct bank connecting to an outdoor pad mount switch, at the University’s North Central Forest Experiment Station will be constructed. The Project includes an Add Alternate to replace the main secondary conductors from the new outdoor transformer, to the existing Kaufert Laboratory main secondary switch board. The Project also includes planned locations, and routes for temporary power. The University shall self-perform all 15KV cable demolition, and installation.
