• Defensible space will be created in the center of the camp in the area surrounding the administrative building, training center, dining hall, 8 campsites with Adirondacks, tent pads and shelters, shower facilities and storage facilities. • The desired cut area will be marked with flagging. o The perimeter will be flagged with pink flagging tape o A 50 -100-foot buffer will be flagged with blue flagging tape • Trees, brush, saplings and shrubs will need to be mulched, chipped and/or removed. • All equipment used for mulching or chipping must be rubbered tracked to minimize impact in the mulching area. • All vegetation less than 6 inches’ diameter will be cut, chipped or mulched. The chips will be dispersed evenly within the project site. All heavy down material up to 10 inches in diameter will either be chipped or mulched on site or removed off site. • Slope range 5% to 20% within project site • The defensible space will be located between Jet Black Lane, Adidas Lane and Raven Knob Road. Jet Black Lane will be to the north, Adidas Lane will be to the west running south and Raven Knob Road on the east boundary.
