Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Connecticut Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Authority (the “Authority”) is seeking proposals from thirty-party administrators and other professional service providers to provide claim administration services related to the Connecticut Paid Family and Medical Leave Program. The Authority seeks to retain a third-party administrator to process applications for paid leave benefits and administer those benefits to qualified applicants when the existing contract ends. These administration services will include, but are not limited to, determining eligibility, paying claims, withholding taxes from payments where requested, answering questions from claimants and other participants, and recouping over-payments. As part of this claims administration service, the Authority expects the successful Proposer to have an on-line system that permits claimants to submit claims and relevant documentation, check on the status of their claim, and update their information. The system must also be able to accept documentation from other participants in the Paid Leave Program (e.g., employers, health care providers, and family members of the claimants). This system must include a customer-relationship management system to manage claims and enable robust visibility to the Authority into the claims process. In addition, the successful Proposer will provide a contact/call center to answer questions from participants regarding claims.
