Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Division of Enrollment (the “University”) is seeking proposals for a cloud-based software solution to extract specific transcript data and automatically import it into Technolutions Slate and Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. The proposed solution should include machine learning and natural language processing technologies, which will be applied to extract meaning, analyze content, and perform more advanced custom calculations. Currently, paper transcripts are scanned and PDF transcripts are imported from a variety of sources, including the Common Application and third-party tools, and linked to admissions applications in Slate. Academic information, such as specific courses and grades, are manually entered into Slate and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. The University imports approximately 250,000 transcripts each year. Data is manually entered for approximately 70,000 applicants into Slate and 3,000 students into PeopleSoft annually.
