LADWP is seeking responses from qualified firms that specializes in the restoration and modernization of high‐rise office buildings to determine a safe strategy of executing the Project, while the building is occupied by employees. The responses should include strategies for project implementation, a comparison of considered strategies, phasing & employee migration plans, workspace operation plan, overall project schedule, and costs. Please answer the following questions and provide information related to JFB Renovation and Modernization Project including other current and commercially available technologies collectively referred to as the “Suggested Solution”: 1. What is the feasibility of safely executing the Project, while the building is occupied by employees? 2. How will asbestos abatement and remediation be safely performed, while the building is occupied by employees? 3. What is the strategy of maintaining operating services (such as HVAC, electrical, data, restrooms, elevators, fire‐life safety, and egress) for occupants, while constructing the Project? 4. What is the cost‐benefit and an overall project schedule impact to an occupied building, compared to a fully vacated building? 5. Provide value added information or alternative solutions to address the objective of the Project.
