The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (CDFPC) is requesting written proposals from qualified Offerors to coordinate logistics and delivery of the following hazardous materials courses: • Eighty (80)-hour, Hazardous Materials Technician Level course for 25 students compliant with the current edition of the National Fire Protection Association’s Standard (NFPA), 470, Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Standard for Responders, Chapter 11, Professional Qualifications for Hazardous Materials/WMD Technicians. • Sixteen (16)-hour, Hazardous Materials Air Monitoring compliant with the current edition of the NFPA Standard 470, Chapter 8.7 Mission-Specific Competencies: Detection, Monitoring, and Sampling. • Sixteen (16)-hour, Hazardous Materials Safety Officer compliant with the current edition of the NFPA Standard 470, Chapter 18 Competencies for Hazardous Materials/WMD Safety Officers. • Forty (40)-hour, Hazardous Materials Highway Specialist compliant with the current edition of the NFPA Standard 470, Chapter 22 Competencies for Hazardous Materials/WMD Technicians with a Cargo Tank Specialty. • Optional: Vendors may include in their proposal other hazardous materials courses they offer. If optional classes are included, they must be listed on the price proposal.
