1. To provide a traffic engineer with a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience to work within the RIDOT Office of Safety full time (40 hours/week) for the duration of the contract. 2. To act as the selected On-Call Traffic Design Consultant at the direction of the State Traffic Safety Engineer and the Managing Engineer of the Office of Safety Section within RIDOT in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration, applicable municipalities and other State agencies as required. 3. Upon request by RIDOT for a project specific, as directed by the State Traffic Safety Engineer and the Managing Engineer of the Office of Safety Section, to perform the following: a. Traffic counts b. Speed studies c. Crash analyses d. Delay studies e. Capacity analyses f. Perform peer reviews of contracts, plans, and specifications prepared by design consultants for RIDOT projects g. Prepare work orders for installation of signs and/or pavement markings on templates to be provided by ...RIDOT h. Prepare grant applications including all associated documentation when needed
