1. Paving a) Clear the repair area of loose debris, dirt, and loose asphalt. Remove the soil and any vegetation from the asphalt cracks. b) Shall pressure wash the asphalt surface. c) Area shall be completely clear and dry before proceeding with the repair. d) Shall use a saw or cold chisel to cut straight edges around the repair area. e) Shall remove any loose asphalt from around the damaged area before proceeding with the repair. f) Petromat® shall be applied to the entire surface g) The hot mix asphalt layer shall be applied minimum 2” - 1.5” compacted h) An asphalt binder or emulsion (tack coat) shall be applied to the entire surface of the clean, dry, and squared-off area. i) Shall pour and spread the hot mix asphalt onto the prepared area j) Asphalt mix shall be S9.5c or equivalent k) Asphalt shall be applied 2 inches thick minimum l) Asphalt shall be minimum 1.5 inches compacted m) Shall compact the hot asphalt with a vibratory roller or vibratory plate compactor. 2. Top Acrylic Coating a) Shall apply 2 coats of black resurfacer b) Shall apply 2 coats of color.
