a. Applicable Standards i. AWWA C700‐20 Cold‐Water Meters Displacement Type, Bronze Main Case, AWWA New Meter Accuracy Standards b. The Displacement Type Cold Water Meters shall be in compliance with NSF/ANSI 61, Drinking Water System Components‐Health Effects c. The Displacement Type Cold Water Meters shall be in compliance with the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act Section 1417. d. Consideration shall be limited to Displacement Type Cold Water Meters with absolute encoded registers. e. All meters shall be: i. Bronze cased. ii. 6 wheel mechanical encoder or 9 digit digital (not incremental type). iii. Positive displacement. iv. Equipped with a magnetic drive without the use of a stuffing box. v. Nutating disk f. Manufacturers shall supply a full product line of the model of meter quoted; ⅝‐inch through 2‐inch and the same product must remain in production for the term of the contract.
