Develop a Final Design, 100% construction plans and specifications, based on the current conceptual Master Plan (attached to this RFQ). Make adjustments to the Master Plan where needed, based on information such as topography and the results of the geotechnical survey. Plans and specifications shall address all grading, storm water drainage, erosion control, lighting, landscaping, pavements, and incidental improvements needed for a functioning park. Public outreach will be an important component. Each phase of the project thus far has greatly incorporated the community. Previous outreach efforts included three public workshops, an online survey, personal interviews, a PR campaign, and fieldwork. Outreach efforts must go beyond the park and also incorporate public feedback on the Amaral Building and its proposed services. To continue encouraging the community’s involvement, a strong public outreach specialist is required as a part of the consulting team. 5 Create detailed schematic designs that reflect that park’s vision as a modern Resilience Hub. This should include a topographical survey, geotechnical survey, design documents, and a public workshop. Incorporate the design elements of flexible open spaces, green infrastructure, and educational signage. Ensure that the design integrates input from community outreach efforts. Produce detailed construction documents that include plans, elevations, sections, and technical specifications. Include specifications for flood-tolerant plant materials, green infrastructure elements, and other design features that promote climate resilience in the park. Develop and compile bid packages that include all necessary documentation for contractor bids. Assist in the evaluation of contractor bids, providing recommendations based on criteria established in the bid package...
