The Town of Hamden on behalf of its Traffic Department is seeking proposals from firms with expertise in implementing and managing Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Device (ATESD) programs. The successful firm shall be expected to evaluate and provide recommendations to install fixed red light camera devices, fixed speed camera devices and mobile speed camera devices within the Town’s geographical boundaries. The awarded firm shall assist the Town by providing technical analysis and justification in selecting intersection locations suitable for fixed red light and speed camera enforcement. Mobile speed cameras will be used in school zones, pedestrian crossings, playgrounds and other high-risk accident zones along streets and arterial roads.
