1. The District seeks a variety of master planning services including high level current facilities assessment, space planning, enrollment projections, facilities management, meeting facilitation, survey design and analysis, conceptual design, preliminary cost estimating, and cost benefit analysis for options including changes of use, new construction, new site acquisition and remodeling. Consultants should have experience in facilities master planning for California education facilities and in facilitating innovative and collaborative solutions. Further, plans, reports, and studies include but are not limited to the following documents: a. 2016 District Wide Facilities Master Plan Update b. Facility Project History c. Board Policy 7110 Facilities Master Plan d. CBOC Program and Project Status Update e. GUSD School Web Sites 2. Stakeholder Engagement i. School Site Council Engagement: Review of plans, reports and studies by Site administration and School Site Councils. School Site Councils will meet with facilities master planning staff and/or consultants to provide input into the updated Master Plan for their school site. ii. Superintendent’s Cabinet Engagement and Approval: Review of plans, reports and studies provided to School Site Councils. Superintendent’s Cabinet will meet with facilities master planning staff and/or consultants to provide input into the updated Master Plan. Updated draft Master Plans will be presented to Superintendent’s Council for their review and approval. iii. Board of Trustees Approval: Upon approval by Superintendent’s Council, the Superintendent or designee shall present and recommend approval of the updated Facilities Master Plans by the Board of Trustees. Plan on Board of Trustees engagement at their meetings in May and September 3. Conduct site visits to become familiar with existing facilities conditions, pedestrian and vehicular flows, and other site-specific factors that could affect planning. 4. Identify and prioritize the needs for modernization, replacement, growth, and other academic requirements. 5. Develop cost estimates for the projects identified in the FMP. 6. Prepare a comprehensive 2025 Facilities Master Plan document.
