• Oil System Inspection: o Check/adjust oil pressure safety shutdown o Check oil level o Take oil sample for analysis at CT&E o Check oil pressure and gauge o Inspect oil system for leaks o Check reservoir tank and oil cooler o Check pre-lube pump • Coolant System Inspection: o Check coolant; record reading, add inhibitor (if required) o Inspect/set jacket water heater and hoses o Check temperature and gauge o Check high and low temperature alarm/shutdowns o Inspect remote pumps, motors and cooling towers/radiators o Check/tighten fan belts and hoses; change if required; advise customer o Check external piping • Fuel System: o Advise customer of fuel level o Check fuel storage level o Check day tank and transfer pump o Inspect engine fuel systems o Inspect governor and linkage o Check for water in day tank and main tank; record results; using test paper • Battery Inspection: o Check each cell and clean terminals o Inspect charging system o Inspect engine-starting system • Generator System: o Inspect generator brushes and slip rings; if applicable • Engine/Generator Electrical: o Check/adjust over-speed safeties o Check over crank safety o Check engine starters o Check circuit breakers and fuses o Test auto start/stop system with customer approval o Adjust electrical governor control o Check/adjust electrical meters o Check generator control cabinet
