The Town needs to fill a role in the Town Accountant Offices to discharge the duties contained in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 41, Sections 55 through 61, et al., for the proper and prudent management of the financial affairs of the Town. The Town has determined that it needs professional accounting services for prudent and proper record-keeping. Accordingly, Sterling is seeking an accountant for up to three years who is experienced, competent, and learned in public sector financial and legal matters and well-qualified to advise and assist the Town in the provision of Town accountant services. The extension of services to a second and third year shall be at the sole discretion of the Town and subject to the availability of funding.
