The Children's Justice Act grant, through the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act requires the state to establish a task force to improve the assessment and investigation of child abuse and neglect, particularly of child sexual abuse and exploitation in a manner that limits additional trauma to the child and the child's family. The Department is seeking to execute a contract to support the basic coordination and work of the Governor's Task Force on Justice for Abused Children (GTFJAC). This work includes the provision of staff to assist the GTFJAC to monitor and evaluate multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), complete reports on completed evaluation, coordinate, implement and provide training on specialized curriculum to educate members of the MDTs, first responders and members of the community.
