Design Features - CIPP : 1. AWWA Structural Class – Class IV Fully Structural a. 50 year internal burst strength, when tested independently from the host pipe b. Survive any dynamic loading or other short term effects associated with sudden failure of the host pipe. 2. ASTM F1216 Fully Deteriorated Pressure Pipe Design Condition 3. CIPP liner must demonstrate equivalency to AWWA pressure class 150 pipe based on criteria defined by WI-DNR. Liner design requires WI-DNR approval prior to installation. 4. The CIPP tube shall consist of one or more layers of absorbent material (woven and/or non-woven synthetic fiber, felt), with or without glass fiber reinforcement. 5. The CIPP tube shall be impregnated with an epoxy resin system that is compatible for the installation process being used. 6. The CIPP tube shall be fabricated to dimensions such that when installed will fit tightly to the internal circumference of the host pipe. 7. The epoxy coating shall not leach any organic compounds into the potable water system. 8. The CIPP liner system, when cured, shall be chemically resistant to additives used in drinking water. 9. The CIPP tube shall have a uniform thickness that when compressed at installation pressures will meet or exceed the minimum required thickness specified in the design. 10. The wall color of the interior pipe surface of the CIPP liner shall be a light reflective color...
