The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to repair water lines and valves for the distribution of water to the contact station, campground sanitation building, and campground area of Interstate State Park. The awarded vendor will abandon the manhole and replace waterlines as follows: • Secure work permit from the Dept. of Labor and Industry prior to starting work. • Equipment used must weigh less than 13,000 lbs and have rubber tracks. The use of light weight equipment (e.g. - miniexcavator) is mandatory for preserving cultural resources that may be in the surrounding soils. Every effort to keep equipment stationary while performing work must be made. • Furnish and install 4 curb stops with blow out valves and concrete collars for one feed line from the well and three lines supplying water to the Campground Sanitation Building , the Contact Station (Office), and the Campground area. • Each curb stop must be adequately sized for the corresponding water line. The blow out connections must be designed to prevent tampering and contamination. • Remove and dispose of all abandoned water lines from manhole and other debris off site. Manhole will remain in place. Disposal of construction waste within PCA requirements. • Seed, mulch, and install erosion control as directed by project manager. • Notify project manager of project completion.
