Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bemidji plans to fully reconstruct a roughly 2800 foot segment of Park Avenue NW from 15th Street NW to Trunk Highway 197 (Paul Bunyan Drive N). The project will be funded using the City’s State Aid Construction account and various city utility funds. The estimated total project cost is $1,700,000. The project will also include public infrastructure upgrades. Approximately 2,800 lineal feet of sanitary sewer main replacement and 1,700 lineal feet of water main replacement are expected on Park Avenue NW. The project will need to incorporate appropriate traffic engineering standards and associated construction phasing ideas. Existing stormwater infrastructure is believed to be mainly newer and would desirable to keep in place or reuse. That determination will be made as part of the preliminary design phase and alternative selection process. A State Aid Stormwater report will be required to be completed and approved by State Aid. This stormwater report shall include analysis of potential future side street stormwater flows for neighboring street planning purposes.
